The Osage County Attorney is an elected official. The County Attorney is responsible for the prosecution of violations of Kansas state and county law. that occur within the jurisdictional limits of Osage County. The County Attorney's office handles a variety of cases including adult and juvenile offender cases, child in need of care cases, asset forfeiture cases, and care and treatment cases. Additionally, the County Attorney is also responsible for the investigation of Kansas Open Meeting Act and Kansas Open Records Act violations.
